Now you can install windows without windows CD.To do this interesting work you need 1GB pen drive or more. But the pen drive must be supported the FAT32 file system.You can install windows microsoft from CD but sometimes due to scratch on the CD, computer can’t copy the files of windows. But in case of flash usb pen drive this types of error occured less times.
To initilized this procedure you need a windows back up copy in your hard disc. Download the necessary tools from here.Now follow the steps..
01. Extract the downloaded folder which contains to folders which are “bootselect” and “usb_prep8″
02. Now insert your usb pen drive.
03. Open the “USB_prop8″ folder and double click on”usb_prep8.cmd” file. a command prompt window will be
opened.
04. Now press any key and PeToUSB window will be opened.
05. Click on the “start” button to format the pen drive.
06. After format don’t close the “usb_prep.cmd” and “PeToUSB” windows. Now go to windows start button then “run”
and write the “bootsect.exe”files path.
If your file in F drive ,first write “F:” and press enter. Then write “cd usbxp\bootsect” and again press enter.
write bootsect.exe/nt52 J:(Replace J by your pen drive’s drive name). When bootsect.exe will run ,must close pendrives window .
after press Enter you will see the message”Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes”. Now close the command prompt but not close the “USB_prop8″ command window.Also close the “PeToUsb” window and the “usb_prep8″ window shows like the figure.
Enter the required information which are shown on the screen
a. press 1 then press enter. A folder brwose window will be open to locate the back up file which is already saved in
your computer
b. Press 2 and “Enter”.For creat virtual drive press “T” as drive letter then press Enter.
c. press 3 and “Enter”.Give the pen drive’s drive letter.
d. Press 4 and start the process.
Now virtual drive going to be format.Press”Y” and “Enter”
After complete format press “enter”.then starts data copy from xp back up to virtual drive. About 3 to 5 minutes
need to complete then again press “enter”.Data starts to copy from virtual drive to pen drive.Press “Enter” to continue this process. This takes about 15 mins to complete.
After completion this process a popup window will come, click “Yes” and unmount the virtual drive.Your pen drive already created. Now go to your BIOS setting for selecting USb as the first boot device. After restart your computer you can see two mode “GUI mode” and “Text mode”. Select “text mode” to win xp install.
